5/19/24 at 7:57 PM, Officers were dispatched for a disturbance of neighbors verbally arguing over a loud vehicle in the 700 Block of Mason Avenue. (KS-24-004317). Officers advised there is nothing illegal about the vehicle, but to be more courteous and park further away from the reporting party’s residence.

5/20/24 at 9:42 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 600 Block of E. Cope Road for a theft report. (KS-24-004333). The total value of the stolen items was $1,200. Pending further investigation.

5/20/24 at 5:14 PM, Officers were dispatched for an individual asleep in a car in the 200 Block of Scarlett Avenue. (KS-24-004348). Officers contacted the male, who advised he fell asleep waiting for his friend to finish work. He did not have any warrants or appear intoxicated.

5/20/24 at 8:42 PM, Officers were dispatched for a male, who was observed staggering down the street, entering the driver’s side of a vehicle in the 100 Block of W. State Street. (KS-24-004353). Officers made contact with the male who advised he had hurt his ankle earlier in the day which is why he was limping. He submitted to a PBT which yielded negative results for alcohol. No signs of impairment were observed while interacting with the subject.

5/21/24 at 3:14 PM, Officers were dispatched for a vehicle driving by playing loud music in the 200 Block of S Union. Street. (KS-24-004379). Officers contacted the reporting party to ask that they obtain as much identifying information as possible in future incidents to ensure officers stop the correct vehicle.

5/22/24 at 8:25 AM, Officers were dispatched for a disabled vehicle in the area of N. Union Street and E. Linden Street. (KS-24-004403). Contact was made with the operator of the disabled vehicle, and a strong odor of alcoholic beverage was detected emitting from the subject. He was later taken into custody for suspicion of DUI.

5/22/24 at 2:24 PM, Officers were dispatched to a trespassing complaint in the 300 Block of Juniper Street. (KS-24-004408). The reporting party advised subjects were soliciting and refused to leave. Officers located the solicitors and advised that the Borough does not allow soliciting or provide permits for such activities.

5/22/24 at 6:01 PM, Officers were dispatched for a report in reference to juveniles smoking marijuana in the 400 Block of S. Broad Street. (KS-24-004413). The reporting party permitted Officers to search their sons’ rooms.  Due to the evidence found in the residence, both individuals were issued Non-Traffic Citations for Disorderly Conduct.

5/23/24 at 9:40 PM, Officers were dispatched for a domestic disturbance in the 200 Block of N. Union Street. (KS-24-004454). Upon arrival, the reporting party advised the other subject involved had already left the residence. They also confirmed there was no physical altercation or threats made.

5/24/24 at 7:03 PM, Officers were dispatched for a report of a found dog at the YMCA. Prior to the Officers arrival, they were advised the dog owner had called reporting the dog missing. The dog was returned to the owner.

5/24/24 at 7:57 PM, Officers were dispatched for a disturbance in the 700 Block of Mason Avenue involving neighbors arguing. (KS-24-004480). Due to a similar incident occurring earlier in the week, all parties were advised to avoid each other in the future.

5/25/24 at 11:58 AM, Officers were dispatched for a report on station in reference to a landlord and tenant issue. (KS-24-004506). Officers advised the reporting party they could not be evicted from a residence without following the proper channels at court and an eviction notice would have to be issued.

5/25/24 at 9:40 PM, Officers were dispatched for a complaint of a barking dog in the 400 Block of S. Walnut Street. (KS-24-004526). Upon arrival, Officers did not hear dogs barking. They made contact with the homeowner and advised about the call they received. The homeowner apologized and stated they would not leave their dog out for as long in the future.
