February 15th is National School Resource Officer (SRO) Appreciation Day! SROs bridge the gap between youth and law enforcement, embracing a triad concept of school policing by serving in informal counseling, educational, and law enforcement roles to support the students and communities they serve. WEGOPD has one full time SRO, Ofc. Frascella who spends his time at Rustin High School (pictured). Officers Dittus, Herman, Bevenour, and Arevalo (pictured) are alternates who fill in as needed. While their primary role is their presence in the school, they often also participate in various community events. THANK YOU SROs!
