On January 25, 2024, at 3:37PM, Officers were dispatched to assist EMS for an unresponsive person in the 400 Block of E. South Street, Kennett Square Borough. Upon arrival, Officers observed a female, identified as Carole Armstrong-Lovelace, sleeping in her vehicle in a parking lot. Upon making contact with Armstrong-Lovelace, the sole occupant of the vehicle, Officers observed a strong odor of alcoholic beverages emanating from her breath and observed her eyes to be glassy and bloodshot. Upon the completion of Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, Armstrong-Lovelace was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI and submitted to a chemical test of her breath, resulting in a BAC of .220%. She was processed and later released pending issuance of a summons. Charges filed at District Court 15-3-04. The case is pending a preliminary hearing.
