The Summit Police in cooperation with the Summit Public Library will be hosting a Stop the Bleed Class. Certified instructors from the Summit Police Department will be providing instruction and practical application training in the area of "Stop The Bleed". It covers identifying different types of bleeding injuries and methods to control the loss of blood until medical personnel arrive. Injuries can occur at any time from a fall, work related or vehicle accidents as well as any mishap at home or outside. Violence is another source of injuries that may require prompt action to help a victim until emergency responders arrive on scene.
