LITITZ BOROUGH - The Downtown Lititz District had upgraded parking meters installed which are available for immediate use. The new meters accept both coins and payments by credit card. At this time, there is no mobile app. Aside from the new technology, here are other changes:

• The hour rate has increased from $0.50 per hour to $1.00 per hour.
• Maximum parking payment has increased from two hours to three hours.
• Some parking spaces have one meter head for two adjacent parking spaces (as opposed to individual meter heads). People will need to select the correct parking space when paying at the meter head.

The footprint of metered parking and the times of enforcement remain unchanged. As a reminder, metered parking is in effect during the following times:

• Monday - Saturday, from 8:00 AM until 6:00 PM.
• Sundays are free.
• The following holidays are free: 1) New Years Day, 2) Martin Luther King Day, 3) Presidents' Day, 4) Good Friday, 5) Memorial Day, 6) July 4th, 7) Labor Day, 8) Columbus Day, 9) General Election Day, 10) Veterans' Day, 11) Thanksgiving Day, and 12) Christmas Day.
