It is with great sadness that the Derry Township Police Department announces the passing of K-9 Ares.  K-9 Ares began his career with DTPD in 2019 and worked alongside his handler Lt Anthony Clements. K-9 Ares not only helped protect Derry Township, but he also helped other Police Departments in Dauphin County and neighboring Counties.  In addition to protecting residents, K-9 Ares also built relationships by doing K-9 demos and other community policing activites.

Our department extends our heartfelt condolences to LT Clements, his family and fellow coworkers who worked with him.

The Derry Township Police Department is asking that you keep Lt Clements and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
