CSX Transportation has announced a track maintenance project beginning Monday, June 29. The project is expected to last approximately three weeks and will include the installation of new railroad ties along portions of the CSX Charleston Subdivision.

As part of this work, two railroad crossings within the City of North Charleston will be temporarily closed:

• Remount Road Crossing – scheduled to close on July 2
• East Montague Avenue Crossing – scheduled to close on July 6

Motorists should be aware that each crossing may remain closed for two to five days, depending on construction progress and conditions.

Please plan alternate routes and expect possible traffic delays in the affected areas.
