The City of North Charleston announces upcoming temporary closures of interstate ramps at the I-26 and Weber Boulevard interchange. These closures are required as part of the ongoing Northwood Drainage Improvements project to safely install critical drainage infrastructure beneath the ramps.

Details of the closures:

• Inbound (on-ramp) from Weber Drive to I-26 (eastbound direction): Closed starting at 8:00 p.m. on Friday and will reopen by 6:00 a.m. on Monday
• Off-ramp from I-26 to Weber Boulevard: Closed starting at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and will reopen by 6:00 a.m. on Friday.

Note: These are closures designed to minimize disruption during peak travel times. Motorists should plan alternate routes during these periods.

The Northwood Drainage Improvements project aims to enhance stormwater management in the Northwood/Bentwood area, reducing flooding risks in surrounding neighborhoods through new piping, inlets, and related infrastructure.
