The North Charleston Police Department (NCPD) is pleased to announce a continued decrease in both violent and non-violent crime through August 2025. This encouraging trend is a direct result of the hard work and dedication of our officers, as well as the ongoing support and involvement of our community.
Most notably, there have been significant reductions in homicides and robberies. These improvements highlight the effectiveness of our crime prevention strategies and the strength of our community partnerships.
"Our continued focus on proactive policing and collaboration with community members is making a real difference," said Crime Prevention Officer Pfc. Josh Silva. "Together, we're creating a safer environment for everyone to live, work, and play."
NCPD remains committed to transparency and public safety as we build on this momentum in the months ahead.
