Early this morning, at approximately 6:00 a.m., North Charleston Police Department (NCPD) officers were dispatched to the area of Dorchester Road and Cross County Road in response to a two-vehicle accident. Preliminary findings indicate that a male motorist traveling westbound on Dorchester Road veered into the eastbound lane, resulting in a collision with another vehicle. The driver responsible for the lane crossing was subsequently transported to a medical facility, where he was pronounced deceased.
