The North Charleston Police Department (NCPD) was honored to host a group of international military students from Fort Benning, Georgia, on Friday.
Through the International Military Student Office (IMSO), Fort Benning welcomes approximately 400–500 international military students each year from allied and partner nations around the world. The visiting students represented Armenia, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Georgia, Greece, Guinea-Bissau, Hungary, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Jordan, Kosovo, Latvia, North Macedonia, Romania, Slovenia, South Korea, and Thailand.
During their visit, the students received an in-depth look at how the department operates and participated in a guided tour of NCPD facilities. The IMSO’s mission is to provide students with opportunities to experience “real life” in the United States, with the hope that they will take valuable ideas and experiences back to their home countries.
