As Chief Camacho marks his one-year anniversary, his leadership has left an indelible mark on the North Charleston Police Department (NCPD). His dedication to fostering trust and collaboration has yielded tangible results, and his commitment to transparency and integrity remains unwavering.

Under Chief Camacho's guidance, the department remains committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity, openness, and a shared vision for a safer and more resilient North Charleston. 

Some of Chief Camacho's operational and personnel highlights over this first year are:

• Full Staffing Achieved by reaching and surpassing our full authorized staffing level of 320 sworn police officers, a critical milestone that enhances our visibility & operational capacity across the city.
• Targeted Leadership Development, through introspection training and through his Ego Kills Careers training
• Enhanced Performance Management, through the Performance Protocol Coaching Platform which promotes individual growth and improvement
• Community Engagement Innovation, through our successfully launched CRIMEWATCH social media platform which has dramatically increased the efficiency of information sharing & neighborhood collaboration, allowing citizens to be active partners in crime prevention
• Advanced Executive Education, through elevated professional executive development training, specifically with the prestigious inclusion of the Northwestern Command School
