LOCATED: NCPD Seeks Vehicle of Interest in Shooting Death of Four-Year-Old

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. – On Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at approximately 6:45 PM, officers from the North Charleston Police Department were dispatched to Van Buren Street in response to a reported shooting. Upon their arrival, officers did not find any victims at the scene. However, shortly thereafter, they were informed that a young child had been admitted to a local emergency room with a gunshot wound. Tragically, the child succumbed to the injury early the following morning.
In response to this heartbreaking incident, officers have been diligently investigating the case. They have identified a vehicle that may be connected to the event— possibly a dark blue or black BMW 740 Series sedan. The search for this vehicle is ongoing, and several persons of interest have been identified.
