Case Update:
Detectives from the North Charleston Police Department (NCPD) have been vigorously pursuing leads in this case. Although the victim has chosen not to cooperate with investigators and declined to press charges, the community has come forward to assist. Residents have provided valuable video footage from their homes, which has significantly advanced the investigation. The department's drone unit has also been instrumental in supporting detectives. Interestingly, the shooting victim has been linked to a string of vehicle break-ins in the area and may have been accompanied by another individual at the time of the incident, although this has not been confirmed and no other injured parties have been found.
The police department urges the community to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to 9-1-1. Officers have been actively canvassing the neighborhood, remaining vigilant for any signs of potential wrongdoing. We are counting on your assistance to prevent criminal activity in our community. Residents are reminded to secure their vehicles by removing valuables and firearms, locking doors, and activating exterior lighting. Anyone with information that could aid in the investigation is encouraged to come forward. Submit a tip through our CRIMEWATCH app, where you may remain anonymous if you choose.
