On the evening of July 13th, officers from the North Charleston Police Department (NCPD) were dispatched to a local hospital after receiving a report of an individual who had arrived at the emergency room with a gunshot wound.

A motorist reported to authorities that they were involved in a road rage incident on Ashley Phosphate Road near Rock Street. The altercation escalated when an unidentified person from the other vehicle fired a single shot at the motorist's car. Fortunately, the driver escaped harm, but a teenage passenger suffered a gunshot wound.
