North Charleston Police Department (NCPD) detectives are investigating a homicide that occurred Wednesday night in the Dorchester Terrace community.

At approximately 10:55 p.m., law enforcement officials were dispatched to the 2200 block of Bailey Drive in response to multiple calls reporting gunfire in the area. Upon their arrival at the scene, officers discovered an adult male victim suffering from gunshot wounds, who was found lying in front of a nearby residence.

EMS and North Charleston Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and immediately began lifesaving efforts. The victim was pronounced deceased after EMS arrived.

No arrests have been made at this time. NCPD and the Charleston County Coroner's Office are investigating this incident.
