North Charleston Police Department (NCPD) officers and detectives are investigating a shooting that occurred overnight in the Forest Hills 2 community.

On Warsaw Rd, in the 7700 block, police were dispatched to a scene of reported gunfire at approximately 10pm on Saturday night. Upon arrival, they found an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds, who was subsequently rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention. Initial findings suggest the victim was outside when a passing vehicle, occupied by unknown individuals, opened fire, striking both the victim and a nearby vehicle.

The investigation is ongoing, and no suspects have been taken into custody.
