UPDATE: An arrest was made in this investigation. Thank you to everyone who provided us tips.

Detectives with the North Charleston Police Department are investigating a homicide that occurred Tuesday in the area of Elder Avenue.

Police said a male victim was found deceased, following an apparent assault, near a vacant house in the 2300 block of Elder Avenue. 

No arrests have been made at this time, and the investigation remains ongoing.
