North Charleston Police Department (NCPD) detectives are investigating a drive-by shooting that occurred early Friday morning that left one person injured.

Shortly after 4:30 a.m., officers responded to a report of shots fired at a residence in Hawthorne City Mobile Home Park on Hawthorne Drive. Upon arrival, officers located a female juvenile victim inside a mobile home suffering from a gunshot wound.

She was transported to a local hospital for treatment. 

The case remains under active investigation, and no arrests have been made.
