North Charleston Police detectives (NCPD) are investigating a burglary that occurred Sunday night or early Monday morning at a grocery store on Rivers Avenue. Officers responded to El Chavo Grocery, where they discovered that a wall behind a cooler had been cut open and insulation removed to gain entry.

The complainant reported that a large amount of cash was missing, while no other items appeared to have been taken.
