The North Charleston Police Department (NCPD) is investigating a shooting at the Palm Pointe Apartments on Fassitt Rd, within the Stall Road/Midland Park community.

On July 27th shortly after 6pm, officers responded to reports of gunfire on Fassitt Road following a patrol for a BOLO’d (Be On the Lookout) vehicle out of Dorchester County. 

As officers began to arrive on scene, they located one victim who was pronounced deceased at at nearby hospital. Witnesses on scene began to provide officers with information that possible suspects were inside one or more of the apartment buildings. After a preliminary search, the apartments in question were cleared and deemed secure. 

The case remains under active investigation, and as of now, no individuals have been taken into custody in connection with the incident.
