While on patrol in the vicinity of Dunlap St., North Charleston Police Department (NCPD) Night Shift officers responded to the sound of gunfire emanating from the nearby Plantation Flats Apartments complex overnight. Following a thorough search of the area, no individuals were found to be injured. However, multiple vehicles were discovered to have sustained damage by apparent gunfire. Officers collected physical evidence related to the shooting incident to aid in their ongoing inquiry.

A potential target of the shooting incident cooperated with authorities, providing valuable information that is currently being investigated to determine a suspect's identity.
