North Charleston police officers responded to reports of gunfire just before 1:00 a.m. on Durant Avenue. When officers arrived, they found that a woman inside a vehicle had been shot, and the car itself had also been hit by gunfire. The victim was taken to a hospital by EMS for treatment.

At this time, no arrests have been made. Detectives are still investigating and working to determine the motive behind the shooting. Authorities are asking anyone with information to come forward, and anonymous tips can be submitted through the CRIMEWATCH app.
