North Charleston Police Department (NCPD) detectives are investigating a vandalism by gunfire incident that occurred Monday evening at the Deer Run Apartments.

Just before 6:30 p.m., officers responded to Yearling Drive, after receiving reports of gunfire.

When officers arrived, they located several spent shell casings on the roadway leading toward Otranto Road. Fortunately, no one was injured.

The investigation revealed that multiple apartment units sustained damage, along with three vehicles that were struck by gunfire.

No suspect has been identified and the investigation is ongoing.
