North Charleston Police Department (NCPD) detectives arrested a juvenile back on Dec. 3rd in connection with a shooting that occurred at 5900 Rivers Avenue. Officers had responded to the location on November 26th, after receiving a report of gunfire. A person injured by gunfire was rushed to the hospital for medical attention, but unfortunately, they succumbed to their injuries this week.

The juvenile originally arrested for attempted murder is now facing a charge of murder, in addition to other charges.

He was being held in the juvenile unit of the Al Cannon Detention Center. Our detectives and the coroner's office continue to investigate.
