The Lower Windsor Township Police Department has a current opening for a Police Officer. The police department has 10 officers. The fleet of vehicles used daily by the department is 8 patrol vehicles and 1 reserve/special events vehicle. We believe in the community policing approach to solving crime. We collaborate with our residents to address crimes and quality of life issues. Police Officers must establish a residency within a 30-mile radius of any Township border within 90 days of the date of hire. Starting salary for an officer is $68,392.03 a year plus benefits.
The Lower Windsor Township is 26.2 square miles. The township has 7,519 residents and 62 miles of township roads and 27 miles of state roads. We have 6 parks located in the Township and a summer recreation area along the Susquehanna River. We also supply police services to East Prospect Borough.

Minimum requirements:
Possess a high school diploma or GED
Have successfully completed the PA Municipal Police Academy (Act #120 Training) or certification in another State which PA will allow you to test for Act #120 certification.
