Yesterday, some of our officers had the opportunity to visit one of the Champion Summer Camps at Hepburn Lycoming Elementary, where they spent time with campers sharing what it's like to be a police officer.
Campers got an up-close look at some of the specialized tools and equipment our officers use every day and learned about the important safety precautions that help keep both officers and our community safe.
Despite the summer heat, everyone had a chance to cool off with one of our favorite four-legged officers—K-9 Kylo! 🐕 The campers enjoyed meeting Kylo, asking great questions, and learning more about the important role our K-9 teams play.
We always appreciate the opportunity to connect with our community's young people, build positive relationships, and make learning fun. Thank you to the Champion Summer Camp staff and campers for welcoming us—we had a great time and look forward to visiting again!
