The Williamsport Bureau of Police, in partnership with the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP), recently visited St. John Neuman High School to educate students about the dangers of impaired driving. Corporal Stoltzfus, Officer Merril, and members of the Williamsport Police Public Outreach Team, including Lexi and Demar, led the interactive presentation.
Using advanced driving simulators, impairment glasses, and standard field sobriety tests, the team provided students with a realistic and engaging experience. The goal was to raise awareness about the risks associated with impaired driving, particularly during end-of-school events.
The event aimed to inform and empower students to make responsible choices, promoting a safe and healthy environment for everyone. By partnering with local schools, the Williamsport Bureau of Police and PSP hope to reduce the incidence of impaired driving and promote a culture of safety and responsibility among young people.
