WBP Incident #25008200 / Shooting Investigation - 1700 Block Memorial Ave - On September 29th, 2025, at approximately 2:27 AM, Williamsport Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of Memorial Avenue following reports of multiple gunshots and the sound of tires screeching. Shortly after officers arrived at the scene, an additional call was received reporting a gunshot victim inside a nearby residence. Officers responded to the residence and located an 18-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the lower torso. The victim was transported to UPMC for medical treatment and is expected to recover.

Williamsport Police investigators and forensic personnel also responded to the scene to collect evidence before clearing the area.

This incident remains under active investigation.
