**UPDATE**
On Tuesday, June 30, 2026, Agents with the Williamsport Bureau of Police Criminal Investigations Unit traveled to the Harrisburg area to take 17-year-old Vincent Baskerville into custody in connection with the homicide of a 15-year-old male that occurred on Halloween night in 2025.
Baskerville is accused of fatally shooting the 15-year-old victim near the 600 block of First Avenue in the City of Williamsport on October 31, 2025.
The arrest was the result of an extensive investigation conducted by the Williamsport Bureau of Police Criminal Investigations Unit. During the apprehension, investigators were assisted by the U.S. Marshals Service, the Dauphin County SWAT Team, and the Harrisburg Bureau of Police.
The Williamsport Bureau of Police extends its sincere appreciation to our partnering agencies for their professionalism, coordination, and assistance in safely taking Baskerville into custody. The Williamsport Bureau of Police would also like to thank community members who provided information and videos that contributed to Baskerville's apprehension.
WBP# 25009122 – Homicide Investigation - 600 Block First Ave - While officers were investigating a nearby shooting incident, police received an emergency dispatch of a shooting victim down in the area of First Ave and Park Place. Officers quickly arrived on scene and located a 15-year-old male victim lying on the roadway suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to his lower abdomen. The victim was transported to UPMC Williamsport for emergency treatment; however, he later succumbed to his wounds.
