On June 29, 2026, at approximately 2:48 p.m., the Williamsport Bureau of Police responded to a shooting incident in the 1700 block of Memorial Avenue, involving multiple victims.

Upon arrival, officers found three victims, aged 17, 18, and 19, who were quickly transported to a nearby trauma center. 

Two black males were struck in the legs, and a third was struck in the chest. Unfortunately, one of the males succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The Williamsport Bureau of Police, along with assisting agencies, including Lycoming Regional Police, South Williamsport Police, Penn College Police, Lycoming County Sheriff's Office, Muncy Police, US Marshals, Adult Probation, and Lycoming County Detectives, are actively investigating the incident.

Patrol officers and members of the criminal investigative unit are conducting a thorough canvass and multiple interviews. The Williamsport Police Crime Scene Technicians are processing the scene, and two firearms have been collected from the scene or nearby.
