On 04/27/2026 at approximately 3 pm, the Williamsport Police responded to a report of shots fired in the 600 block of Green St, City of Williamsport, with a confirmed gunshot victim. Upon arrival, officers found a vehicle parked in the middle of the street with its engine running and a 22-year-old male lying in the street. Initially, it was believed that this individual was the victim; however, he admitted to being the shooter. 

Officers located a firearm on the porch of a nearby house, as directed by the 22-year-old male. 

Witnesses then directed officers to a nearby residence, where a 35-year-old male was found with multiple gunshot wounds to his legs. Both individuals were transported to the hospital for treatment.

The scene is currently being processed, and the investigation is ongoing. It is believed to be an isolated incident, and there is no danger to the public.  The Williamsport Police are asking anyone in the vicinity of the 600 block of Green St who has home security cameras to review their footage for any possible evidence of the shooting.
