❄️ Weekend Winter Storm Advisory – Please Prepare

A significant winter storm is forecasted to impact our region from Saturday evening through Monday morning, bringing the potential for heavy snowfall and challenging travel conditions. We’re asking residents across the area to plan ahead and help keep roadways safe and accessible.

Jersey Shore Borough: 📢 A snow emergency is expected to be declared. • Please follow odd/even parking regulations throughout the duration of the emergency. • No parking will be permitted along the full length of Allegheny Street to allow PennDOT crews the space they need to safely and effectively maintain the roadway.

Old Lycoming Township: 🚗 Residents are encouraged to use driveway or off‑street parking whenever possible, especially within the Indian Hills Development (bounded by Princeton Ave, Bottle Run Rd., and Woodbryn Dr.). Keeping streets clear helps plow crews work efficiently and reduces hazards for your neighbors.

Fire Hydrant Safety: 🔥 Our local volunteer fire departments greatly appreciate residents who are able to clear snow from around fire hydrants on their property. A few minutes of shoveling can make a life‑saving difference during an emergency.
