Kickin' it with Cops: A Fun-Filled Event for Lycoming County Youth

On May 19, 2025, Officers Fera and Lucas participated in the 3rd annual "Kickin' it with Cops" event, a kickball tournament that brings together students from 9 school districts in Lycoming County.

This exciting event was founded by Officer Fera a couple of years ago, with the assistance of other School Resource Officers (SROs) in Lycoming County. Since its inception, the event has grown, thanks to the help of the Youth Development Task Force (YDTF).

The tournament features 14 students from each school district, divided into teams of 7 boys and 7 girls. Each team is managed and coached by their school's SROs and law enforcement officers. The games are umpired by the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP), ensuring a fun and fair competition.

The event follows a double-elimination format, with the winning teams receiving "Kickin' it with Cops" gold medals. This event is a wonderful opportunity for local youth to engage with law enforcement officers in a positive and fun environment, promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and community building.
