The Quarryville Police Department (QPD) will join the Pennsylvania State Police and over 300 municipal agencies to conduct a statewide crackdown on aggressive driving.
Beginning today, February 12, and running through the end of the month, the Quarryville Police Department (QPD) will be conducting Traffic Enforcement Operations aimed at curbing aggressive driving in our community (i.e., speeding, tailgating, running red lights/stop signs, improper passing, etc.).
These operations put extra officers on the street during peak traffic times to enforce the Commonwealth's traffic safety laws, however, thanks to grant money received by the QPD, these operations came at no additional cost to Borough residents.
The goal of targeted enforcement operations such as these are to reduce the number of aggressive driving related crashes, injuries, and deaths on roadways throughout the state.
