On August 14, 2026, at approximately 10:39 p.m., Quarryville Borough Police stopped a blue Ford on East State Street that was traveling on the roadway with defective equipment. The vehicle's inspection and emissions were also expired. The driver, James McCarraher, had a suspended license and was wanted out of Florida for probation violations. During the stop, the passenger, made suspicious movements. A search led to the discovery of suspected methamphetamine in the passenger seat area, along with drug paraphernalia. Both subjects were arrested. Both are awaiting their preliminary hearing before District Magistrate Mankin.
