On 4/15/20 at approx. 5:30 PM Officers from the PTPD along with Lancaster EMS and the West Willow Fire Co. were dispatched to a residence in the 200 Blk. of Marticville Rd. for a reported cardiac arrest.  A 24 year old male from Lancaster was said to be unresponsive in a vehicle as a result of a drug overdose.  Chief Michener arrived in 3 minutes and found that bystanders had removed the male from the vehicle.  He was unconscious with a pulse but inadequate respiration's.  Chief Michener administered one dose of Naloxone and began rescue breathing, after approx. 4 minutes a second dose of Nalaxone was delivered and rescue breathing continued. Approximately one minute later the male began to regain consciousness.  EMS arrived and assessed the male who refused to be transported to the hospital.  The male was given contact information on how to reach out to receive help from addiction recover services.
