At 1:18 pm on Tuesday May 19, 2026 responders were dispatched to the 400 block of Washington Ave for a report of a child injured from a fall.  Police arrived and conducted a medical assist as well as a preliminary investigation.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the 4 year old child fell from the window of the 4^th floor apartment.  Family members rushed to his aid and he remained conscious and alert throughout the response.

He was transported by Ephrata Ambulance to the predetermined landing site at Stevens Fire Company, where LifeLion transported him to Hershey Medical Center by helicopter.
