On 10/29/15 at 0821 hrs, Ephrata Police responded to a vehicle accident involving a school crossing guard that was struck by a vehicle on E. Fulton St. at Akron Rd.   A vehicle driven by Lois Dewees, age 79, struck the crossing guard while the guard was in the street assisting children with crossing.  Sun glare was a factor in the accident.  The crossing guard was taken to a local hospital with non life threatening injuries and treated and released.
