On January 8, 2016 at 2:26 p.m. Ephrata Police Department investigated a vehicle accident in the 2800 block of North Reading Road, Adamstown Borough.  A vehicle traveling northbound driven by Michelle R. Wentzel, 44, of Denver, crossed into the opposing lane of travel, struck a guardrail and then struck a southbound FedEx truck forcing it to overturn into a northbound Ford F-150.  Wentzel was transported to Reading Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  No other drivers were injured.  Ephrata Police were assisted by Adamstown Fire Department, Denver Fire Department, Reamstown Ambulance and the WellSpan-Ephrata Hospital medic unit. North Reading Road was closed for approximately two hours.
