Ephrata Township; 

US 322/ East Main St East and West bound lanes will be CLOSED for several hours due to serious motorcycle crash with injuries. 

 The roadway will be shut between Bethany Road and Pleasant Valley Road to allow utility crews time to replace utility pole and wires.   

Ephrata Police responded around 3:25am for a motorcycle which struck and sheered utility pole in the 700 Block of East Main St/US 322.   The single rider was not wearing a helmet and was taken to Lancaster General Trauma for multiple injuries.   Police are still investigating the accident.  

***UPDATE***

The investigation determined that the motorcycle, a black 1994 Harley Davidson, was driven by John Curd, 26, of Ephrata.  Curd is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
