On 10/23/19 at 0653hrs, Ephrata Police investigated a vehicle accident involving a person struck, on West Locust Street at North State Street in Ephrata Borough. A vehicle driven by Laura Martin, age 22, of Ephrata, turned left from State Street and struck Madelon Metzger, 68, of Ephrata, while she was crossing Locust Street with her dogs. Metzger sustained moderate, non-life threatening injuries and was taken to an area hospital. The dogs were not injured.
