The Ephrata Police - along with members of Lincoln Fire Company, Pioneer and Durlach & Mt. Airy Fire Police, and Ephrata Community Ambulance - responded to a one-vehicle crash in the 100 Block of Meadow Valley Road on Thursday September 13, 2019 at 2:44 p.m.

The investigation revealed that the 2008 Chevrolet pickup was being driven by a 16-year old Akron boy.  The truck lost traction on the wet road, crossed the opposing lane,  and struck a Windstream utility pole.  Police believe speed was a factor.

Traffic was impacted for over an hour.

No one was transported to the hospital.  The driver is to be cited for a moving violation.
