Burglaries, Theft of Gun - Suspects Charged

The Ephrata Police Department recently concluded a burglary investigation with the arrest of Andrew Wenger (18) of Leola, Jeremy Huber (18) of East Earl, and Bronson Martin (18) of Ephrata.

Andrew Wenger and Jeremy Huber are accused of burglarizing an Ephrata Township butcher shop on three separate occasions.  All three burglaries were committed during the night between March 5th and March 28th.  In total, Wenger and Huber are accused of stealing approximately $53 cash, 200 rounds of rifle ammunition, and a .22 caliber rifle.  Martin was not charged with burglary.

During the investigation, police were able to recover the stolen rifle on May 22nd after learning that Bronson Martin had possession of the rifle. Wenger was arrested first on April 29th and arraigned by MDJ Russell.  Wenger was committed to Lancaster County Prison after failing to post $50,000 bail.Huber and Martin were arrested on June 5th and also arraigned by MDJ Russell.  Huber’s bail was set at $150,000 and was posted.  Martin’s bail was set at $10,000 and was also posted.  Wenger remains incarcerated at the Lancaster County Prison.
