The Ephrata Police Department recently charged David Alexander, 38, of Ephrata, for Misuse of 911 system. On August 12, 2026, Alexander called 911 seventeen (17) times between 5:25 a.m. and 8:55 a.m. Alexander was warned numerous times that morning by police to not call 911 if he had no need for police or emergency services. Alexander disregarded the officers and continued to call 911 which overwhelmed the 911 call center. Charges were filed on Alexander on 08/12/2026 through MDJ Landis' office.

Alexander is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
