THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On 8-26-20 police responded to Shull’s Tree Service-Son Inc, 99 Elmwood Ave, for a theft report. Sometime between 8-25-20 at 1530 hrs and 8-26-20 at 0745 hrs, actor(s) removed multiple chainsaws and pole saws from a locked truck. Total estimated value of loss $4,000.00.
THEFT: On 8-27-20 police responded to the 2300 block of Marietta Ave for a theft report. Sometime on 8-13-20 a package was removed from a residential porch. Total estimated value of loss $105.00.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS: On 8-27-20 police responded to the first block of South Ave for a trespass in progress. Following investigation, Scott Zercher Jr (37) of Landisville was charged with Criminal Trespass (F3) and Loitering & Prowling at Night (M3). Zercher was taken into custody and transported to Lancaster County Prison.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On 8-27-20 a 13-year old female of Lancaster was cited with Disorderly Conduct (S), stemming from an incident 8-24-20 on Route 283 eastbound in the area of McGovernville Rd.
RETAIL THEFT: On 8-28-20 James Elbert Glass Jr (46) of Harrisburg was charged with Retail Theft (M1) and a summary traffic violation, stemming from an incident in which $423.47 in merchandise was removed from the store at Lowes, 25 Rohrerstown Rd, on 8-18-20. A warrant was issued for his arrest.
THEFT: On 8-28-20 police responded to Turkey Hill, 1503 Columbia Ave, for a theft report. As a result of the investigation, it was determined that $497.07 was taken from a cash register, and Justin Hersh (31) of Lancaster was charged with Theft (M1).
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: On 8-28-20 at 1625 hrs police responded to Lancaster Rd in the area of Root Rd for a single vehicle crash. Following investigation, Jeffrey Johns (49) of Lancaster was charged with 1 count of Driving Under the Influence (F3), 1 count of Driving Under the Influence (M) and a summary traffic violation. Johns was found to have several warrants through the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Department, was taken into custody and turned over to a Deputy.
RETAIL THEFT: On 8-28-20 police responded to Sheetz Mini Market, 3101 Columbia Ave, for a retail theft report. A male was observed removing a solar portable phone charger from the store without making payment. Total estimated value of loss $25.00.
RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLE: On 8-28-20 while conducting a premise check of the Arbor Park mobile home community, police observed a stolen vehicle in the 2900 block of Terry Ln. The occupants of the vehicle fled on foot leaving the vehicle behind. The vehicle was turned over to West Hempfield Police Department to be returned to the owner.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On 8-28-20 Chynna McComsey (29) of Millersville was cited with Disorderly Conduct (S) and Public Drunkenness (S), stemming from a disturbance 8-25-20 at Centerville Nails, 568 Centerville Rd.
THEFT: On 8-28-20 police received a theft report in the 1300 block of Shreiner Station Rd. On 8-8-20 actor(s) removed a package from a residential porch. Total estimated value of loss $100.00.
HARASSMENT: On 8-29-20 police responded to the 2800 block of Wimbledon Ln for a domestic in progress. Following investigation, Paul Ovadek (51) of Lancaster, was cited with Harassment (S).
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 8-30-20 police responded to the 100 block of Dartmouth Ave for a vandalism report. Sometime between 0800-2240 hrs this date, actor(s) broke the front driver’s side window of a vehicle. Total estimated damage $500.00.
ESCAPE: On 8-31-20 police responded to the 2300 block of Lancaster Rd for a prisoner who broke a window with his head and jumped out of the vehicle. Eddie Ahorrio-Martinez Jr (29) of Lancaster was being transported to a State Correctional Facility by State Parole Officers when the incident occurred. Ahorrio-Martinez was taken into custody and charged with Escape (F3), Aggravated Harassment by Prisoner (F3) and Criminal Mischief (M3). He was transported to Lancaster County Prison and remanded unable to post bail. Total estimated damage $300.00.
RETAIL THEFT: On 9-1-20 police responded to Turkey Hill, 1503 Columbia Ave, for a retail theft report. On 8-31-20 a male requested lottery tickets and cigarettes, he removed the items from the counter and left without making payment. Total estimated value of loss $498.93.
