POLICE INCIDENTS FROM 5/5/21 THRU 5/16/21

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 5-3-21 Talik Medina (20) of Lancaster was charged with Possession of Marijuana (M) and multiple summary traffic violations, stemming from a traffic stop 4-17-21 on Marietta Ave in the area of Centerville Rd.

DOG LAW VIOLATION: On 5-10-21 police responded to the 300 block of Parklawn Ct for a report of an animal attack.  Following investigation, Dennis Eberly (31) of Lancaster was cited with Confined Within Premises of Owner (S).  Eberly’s dog reportedly left his property, ran across the street and attacked a dog being walked on a leash.

SIMPLE ASSAULT: On 5-11-21 a 15-year-old male student of Mountville was charged with Simple Assault (M2) and a 16-year-old male student of Landisville was charged with Disorderly Conduct (M3), stemming from an altercation at Hempfield High School, 200 Stanley Ave, on 5-4-21.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On 5-11-21 police responded to the 1100 block of Persimmon Dr for a theft from vehicle report.  Sometime between 5-10-21 at 1500 hrs and 5-11-21 at 1257 hrs, actor(s) removed a wallet and cash from an unlocked vehicle.  Total estimated value of loss $100.00.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 5-12-21 police responded to the 2000 block of Swarr Run Rd for a vandalism report.  On 4-12-21 between 2100-2115 hrs, the side of a vehicle was scratched.  Total estimated value of damage $1,180.00.  Following investigation, Ashley Deynes-Cordero (24) of Lancaster was charged with Criminal Mischief (M2) on 5-14-21.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: On 5-12-21 at 1017 hrs, police responded to Speedway, 1660 Rohrerstown Rd, for a suspicious vehicle.  The vehicle was found to have two flat tires, the front passenger side tire completely missing and the driver and passenger asleep in the vehicle.  Following investigation, Pradip Rai (27) of Henrico, VA was charged with Driving Under the Influence, and Restrictions on Alcoholic Beverages (S).  Rai was taken into custody, arraigned before Magisterial District Justice Chudzik, then transported and committed to Lancaster County Prison on $10,000.00 cash bail.

POSSESS WEAPON ON SCHOOL PROPERTY: On 5-12-21 a 15-year-old male student of Landisville was charged with Possess Weapon on School Property (M1), stemming from an incident at Hempfield High School, 200 Stanley Ave on 5-5-21, where the student was found to have a folding pocket knife with a 4” blade in his pocket.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 5-14-21 police responded to the first block of Naomi Ave for a vandalism report.  Sometime between 5-13-21 at 0800 hrs and 5-14-21 at 1400 hrs, actor(s) broke a split rail in a fence.  Total estimated value of loss $25.00.

WARRANT SERVICE: On 5-14-21 police conducted a traffic stop on Rohrerstown Rd in the area of Route 283 West.  The driver, Brandon Rivera (25) of Millersville, was found to have multiple warrants through the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Department.  Rivera was taken into custody and transported to the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Department.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: On 5-14-21 at 0254 hrs police were dispatched to the Route 283 eastbound ramp from Spooky Nook Rd for a suspicious vehicle.  Following investigation, Travis Leakey (37) of Blue Ball was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Controlled Substance (M1).

CHILD PORNOGRAPHY: On 5-17-21 Alistair Welch (32) of Lancaster was charged with 2 counts of Child Pornography (F2), 2 counts of Child Pornography (F3), Disseminate Photo/Film of Child Sex Acts (F2) and 2 counts of Criminal Use of Communication Facility (F3), stemming from an investigation that started 2-12-21 in the 1000 block of Hunt Club Ln.
