POLICE INCIDENTS FROM 3/2/20 THRU 3/13/20

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: On 3-2-20 Jessica Witmer (39) of East Petersburg was charged with Driving Under the Influence (M1); Accidents Involving Damage to Unattended Vehicle or Property (S); Careless Driving (S); and Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic (S), as a result of a vehicle accident investigation in the 700 block of Dorsea Rd. at 2223hrs on 3-1-20.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 3-2-20 police responded to Landisville Middle School, 340 Mumma Dr, for a vandalism report.  Sometime between 0800-1600 hrs on 2-29-20, actor(s) entered the gymnasium and damaged the curtains hanging at the stage.  Total estimated value of damage $550.00.

SIMPLE ASSAULT: On 3-3-20 at 0103hrs police responded to the 3200 block of Harrisburg Pk for a domestic disturbance.  Following investigation, Skye Mahosky (36) of Landisville was taken into custody, charged with Simple Assault (M2) and transported to Lancaster County Prison.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On 3-3-20 police received a theft from vehicle report.  Sometime between 0750-0815hrs on 3-3-20, actor(s) removed a Smartphone and a handicap placard from a vehicle in the 2000 block of Harrisburg Pk.  Total estimated value of loss $700.00.

THEFT OF LOST/MISLAID PROPERTY: On 3-5-20 Angel Barzaga (19) of Lancaster was charged with Theft (M2), stemming from an incident on 2-19-20 at Lowes, 25 Rohrerstown Rd.  Barzaga found a wallet belonging to a customer and removed $10.00 cash and two gift cards before turning the wallet in to the customer service desk.  Total estimated value of loss $110.00.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On 3-5-20 Brett Davis (53) of Columbia was cited with Disorderly Conduct (S), stemming from an incident with athletic coaching staff at Hempfield High School, 200 Stanley Ave. on 3-4-20.

TERRORISTIC THREATS: On 3-5-20 police responded to the 1600 block of English Brook Dr for a disturbance.  Following investigation, Nicolas Hershey (19) of Landisville was charged with Terroristic Threats (M1).  A warrant was issued for his arrest.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On 3-5-20 police responded to the 1100 block of Snapper Dam Rd for a check on the welfare.  Following investigation, Jennifer Chavez (43) of Landisville was cited with Disorderly Conduct (S).

THEFT: On 3-6-20 police responded to Empire Beauty School, 1801 Columbia Ave, for a theft report.  Sometime between 1000-1100 hrs on this date, actor(s) removed a silver center-mounted diamond ring belonging to a student, from within the building.  Total estimated value of loss $2,000.00.

THEFT: On 3-7-20 police responded to Turkey Hill, 1503 Columbia Ave, for a theft report.  The investigation revealed that cash deposit from the business on 1-4-20 was never deposited into the bank.  Following investigation, Jessica Mason (33) of York was charged with Theft by Failure to Make Required Disposition of Funds (F3).  Mason was taken into custody and transported to Lancaster County Prison. 

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: On 3-7-20 police responded to the 1700 block of Swarr Run Rd for a domestic disturbance.  Following investigation, Madison Oyler (18) of Lancaster was taken into custody, charged with Aggravated Assault (F2), Terroristic Threats (M1), and 2 counts of Simple Assault (M2) and transported to Lancaster County Prison.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 3-11-20 Michael Gherke (25) of Lancaster was charged with Possession of Marijuana (M) and Use/Possess Drug Paraphernalia (M), stemming from an incident 2-5-20 in the 900 block of Imperial Dr.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: On 3-12-20 police responded to River Rock Academy, 2124 Ambassador Cir for an altercation.  Following investigation, a 17-year old male student from Manheim was charged with Aggravated Assault (F2) and Harassment (S) for striking a teacher.  The juvenile was taken into custody and transported to Lancaster County Youth Intervention Center.
