POLICE INCIDENTS FROM 2/9/21 THRU 2/14/21

THEFT BY DECEPTION: On 2-9-21 Garrett Wade Powers (28) of Lancaster was charged with Theft by Deception (M1), Use/Possess Drug Paraphernalia (M) and Retail Theft (S), stemming from an incident 1-25-21 at Turkey Hill, 1503 Columbia Ave.  Powers, a former employee of Turkey Hill, is alleged to have scanned items, generating a refund and pocketing cash. He is also alleged to have taken merchandise from the store without paying for it. Total estimated value of loss $242.08. 

THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING: On 2-9-21 Jesse Lee Axe (39) of Columbia was charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking (F3), Conspiracy-Theft (F3), 2 counts of Theft (M1) and 2 counts of Theft from a Motor Vehicle (M1).  Axe is alleged to have taken tools from two work trucks and from job trailers at three different construction sites between 8-21-20 and 12-20-20 in East Hempfield Township.  A warrant was issued for his arrest.

HARASSMENT: On 2-9-21 a 13-year-old male of Akron was cited with Harassment (S), stemming from an incident 2-8-21 at Centerville Middle School, 865 Centerville Rd.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 2-11-21 Michael Ragland (50) of Lancaster was charged with Criminal Mischief (M3), Disorderly Conduct (M3) and Harassment (S), stemming from an incident 2-10-21 at Heritage Hotel, 500 Centerville Rd.  Ragland is alleged to have broken a second story hotel window and tossed his belongings out to the ground below with some items landing on and breaking the rear window of a vehicle parked in the lot.  Total estimated value of damage $545.17.

WARRANT SERVICE: On 2-11-21 police responded to Days Inn, 2929 Hempland Rd, for a check on the welfare.  Following investigation, John Herr (42) of Marietta was found to have a warrant through York County Sheriff’s Department.  Herr was taken into custody and turned over to a York County Deputy.

WARRANT SERVICE: On 2-12-21 police responded to the first block of Conoy Rd for a domestic disturbance.  Following investigation, David Byers Jr (19) of Landisville was found to have a warrant through the Lebanon County Sheriff’s Department.  Byers Jr was taken into custody and transported to Lancaster County Prison.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS: On 2-12-21 police responded to the 2300 block of Chestnut View Dr for a burglary in progress.  Following investigation, Michel Vincent Harbison (28) of Harrisburg was charged with Criminal Trespass (F2) and Criminal Mischief (M3).  Harbison was taken into custody and transported to Lancaster County Prison and remanded unable to post bail.
