POLICE INCIDENTS FROM 10/12/21 THRU 10/26/21

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On 10-12-21 police responded to the 1400 block of Banner Dr for a theft from vehicle report.  Sometime between 10-11-21 at 2245 hrs and 10-12-21 at 0857 hrs, actor(s) smashed the rear driver’s side window of a vehicle and removed a purse.  Total estimated value of damage $800.00.  Total estimated value of loss $184.50.

HARASSMENT: On 10-12-21 Orlando Perez Rivera (23) of Lancaster was cited with Harassment (S), stemming from an incident 10-9-21 in the first block of Tenby Way.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On 10-12-21 police responded to the 100 block of Welsh Dr for a theft from vehicle report.  Sometime between 10-11-21 at 2200 hrs and 10-12-21 at 0600 hrs, actor(s) entered an unlocked vehicle and removed cash.  Total estimated value of loss $25.00.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On 10-13-21 police responded to the 600 block of Hedgewick Dr for a theft from vehicle report.  Sometime between 10-12-21 at 2100 hrs and 10-13-21 at 0800 hrs, actor(s) entered two unlocked vehicles and opened all compartments looking for valuables.  Nothing was found to be missing.

THEFT: On 10-18-21 a 16-year-old male student of Mount Joy was charged with Theft (F3), stemming from an incident 10-7-21 in the 200 block of Broad St, where the juvenile was captured on video surveillance removing a Suzuki 4-wheeler from the back yard of a residence.  The 4-wheeler, with an estimated value of $2,500.00, was recovered and returned to the owner.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On 10-20-21 a 16-year-old male student of Mount Joy, was cited with Disorderly Conduct (S), stemming from an incident at Hempfield High School, 200 Stanley Ave, on 10-5-21.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On 10-20-21 a 15-year-old female student of East Petersburg and a 15-year-old female student of Mountville were both cited with Disorderly Conduct (S), stemming from an incident 10-12-21 at Hempfield High School, 200 Stanley Ave.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On 10-20-21 police responded to the 600 block of Heather Ln for a theft from vehicle report.  Sometime between 10-19-21 at 2000 hrs and 10-20-21 at 0800 hrs, actor(s) entered an unlocked vehicle and opened the glove box looking for valuables.  Nothing was found to be missing.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On 10-20-21 police responded to the 1800 block of Westcott Dr for a theft from vehicle report.  Sometime between 10-19-21 at 2000 hrs and 10-20-21 at 0730 hrs, actor(s) entered unlocked vehicles at two different residences and removed cash.  Total estimated value of loss $8.00.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: On 10/21/21 at 1851 hrs, police responded to Stony Battery Rd at the intersection of Marietta Ave for a crash involving two vehicles.  Following investigation, Michael K Uhlrich (66) of Mountville was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol-2nd Offense (M1), Restrictions on Alcoholic Beverages (S) and Careless Driving (S).

SIMPLE ASSAULT: On 10-21-21 Michael L Garcia (32) of Lancaster was charged with Simple Assault-Domestic Violence (M2) and Harassment (S), stemming from a domestic incident 10-14-21 in the 700 block of Centerville Rd.  A warrant was issued for his arrest.

THEFT: On 10-22-21 police responded to Quality Bicycle Products, 2501 Noll Dr, for a theft report.  Sometime between 9-28-21 and 10-10-21, actor(s) removed 82 various Kryptonite locks from their packaging on a pallet wrapped in plastic.  Total estimated value of loss $1,337.50.

RETAIL THEFT: On 10-23-21 at 1802 hrs, police responded to Dollar Tree, 165 Rohrerstown Rd, for a retail theft that just occurred.  A female was observed by employees leaving the store with a shopping cart full of items.  Total value of loss unknown at this time.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On 10-24-21 police responded to the first block of Tenby Way for a theft from vehicle report.  Sometime between 10-23-21 at 2300 hrs and 10-24-21 at 0630 hrs, actor(s) entered two unlocked vehicles and removed a cell phone.  Total estimated value of loss $100.00.

VEHICLE THEFT: On 10-24-21 police responded to the 100 block of Welsh Dr for a stolen vehicle report.  Sometime between 10-23-21 at 1500 hrs and 10-24-21 at 1050 hrs, actor(s) removed a Toyota Corolla from the parking lot.  At 1536 hrs this same date, the vehicle was found parked in the 600 block of Second St in Lancaster City.

POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: On 10-25-21 Joshua Pittenger (40) of Lancaster was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (M), stemming from an incident 7-13-21 in the 100 block of Urban Dr.  A warrant was issued for his arrest.

RETAIL THEFT: On 10-25-21 Mark Anthony Rodgers (45) of Elkton, MD and Janice Laughlin (40) of Chesapeake City, MD were both charged with Retail Theft (F3) and Conspiracy to Commit Retail Theft (F3), stemming from an incident 9-15-21 at Giant Food Store, 550 Centerville Rd.  Rodgers and Laughlin were captured on video surveillance filling a shopping cart with various Similac baby formulas and leaving the store without making payment.  Total estimated value of loss $1,160.66.  Warrants were issued for the arrest of Rodgers and Laughlin.

SIMPLE ASSAULT: On 10-26-21 a 15-year-old male student of Mount Joy was charged with Simple Assault (M2), stemming from an incident 10-8-21 at Hempfield High School, 200 Stanley Ave.

FORGERY: On 10-27-21 Ramsay Williams (54) of York was charged with 2 counts of Forgery (F3) and 2 counts of Theft by Deception (F3). On 9-8-21 Williams was captured on video surveillance at two different Fulton Bank locations cashing checks from Dutch Gold Honey, 2220 Dutch Gold Dr, that were fraudulently made payable to himself.  Total estimated value of loss $4,618.97.  A warrant was issued for his arrest.

FORGERY: On 10-27-21 Thomas Chant (33) of Mountville was charged with Forgery (F3) and Theft by Deception (F3). On 9-8-21 Chant was captured on video surveillance at a Fulton Bank location cashing a check from Dutch Gold Honey, 2220 Dutch Gold Dr, that was fraudulently made payable to himself.  Total estimated value of loss $2,180.17.  A warrant was issued for his arrest.
